Read more FAQs
What size cot does the mattress fit?

The Deluxe Cot Mattress is designed to fit inside a standard sized Australian cot. The mattress size is 1300mm x690mm x120mm, which enables a gap between both mattress and cot sides to be less than 20mm when using with a standard-sized cot.

The mattress fits perfectly inside our Lyra Convertible Cot.

What do I put on top of the mattress for baby's sleep?

We recommend using a waterproof sheet to protect your mattress from spills and accidents. Our 2-in-1 Waterpoof Fitted Sheet is a fitted sheet that can be used as both a protector and top sheet in one, as well as preventing CO2 rebreathing for a healthier sleep.

If you are using a regular mattress protector, add a fitted sheet on top, such as our Organic Fitted Sheet. Both the protector and fitted sheet must fit closely around the mattress, and be flat with no bunching for safety.

Do not ever wrap your mattress in plastic or any other unbreathable plastic material while in use, and do not use a mattress topper – these will reduce the firmness required for safe sleeping and pose as a suffocation hazard. Never use loose bedding, toys or cot bumpers around the mattress.

Does the Deluxe Cot Mattress have off-gassing?

No. our mattress is made here in Australia and is free of any VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds) responsible for vaporising and turning into a gas.

What kind of springs are in the mattress?

The inner is made from a combination of Tempered Bonel Springs, and Dunlop Foam. Bonel Spring mattresses offer the best support for growing backs as they distribute weight evenly and offer the best comfort. Highly durable, the springs are made of high-grade tempered steel (heat treated) which will last a long time of course with correct care.

How long will the mattress last?

The Deluxe Cot Mattress will safely see your child from birth, into their big bed (usually around 3-4 years of age). Designed to be double-sided, regular flipping will prolong the life and quality of your mattress. You can further extend the life of your mattress by protecting it with a waterproof mattress protector, such as our 2-in-1 Waterproof Fitted Sheet.

The Deluxe Cot Mattress has a lifespan of 8-10 years. With proper care, storage, and maintenance the mattress can be handed down to a new baby, after your child has outgrown it. We advise your mattress is professionally cleaned before handing down, and stored in a cover in between each child.

Why did you choose Tencel for the outer fabric?

We have chosen to use Tencel for our cot mattress because of its many benefits. Tencel uses Lyocell bio-fibres to maintain the environmental balance and integrate the fabric into nature’s cycle. Tencel is a renewable raw material and has a certified environmentally-friendly production process.

Tencel Lyocell fibres are made from sustainable wood sources that were harvested from certified and controlled forests. Wood used for the Tencel fibre comes from natural forests on sustainably managed plantations. Our Tencel fibres are biodegradable, thus they can fully revert back to nature.

This material has long lasting softness thanks to the fibre’s sleek cross section which is gentle on skin and naturally smooth. Tencel can assist with regulating body temperature, and its cellulosic fibres offer excellent moisture management by absorbing and releasing moisture to stop bacteria growing.

What is HealthGuard®, and is it safe?

HealthGuard® is a bacteria-reducing treatment that grants protection against house dust mites, bacteria and moulds. It enhances the mattress with an anti-microbial coating to protect it from microbial infestation and bacterial colonisation. HealthGuard® protects your baby's sleeping environment by reducing allergens, preventing bacteria and mould, and eliminating odours.
